What are Principals of Design?

All art, including photography and graphic design, use principals of design and art to form an image in a aesthetically pleasing way.

Understanding these concepts and using principals of design and elements of art will help you better understand art and provide you a guide to visually recognize and incorporate these concepts into your work.

Additionally, you can use these concepts and the vocabulary to help yourself and others through daily critiques, while at the same time recognizing these visual qualities of your images.
